    That is me!  If you took a look at my life on the surface, my routines, what I do, what I eat, how I live you would probably come to the opposite conclusion, that I am disciplined.  And that would be a correct assessment, but it may not be accurate.  I eliminate temptation from my life, so therefor I can be disciplined.  So I feel that makes me undisciplined.   
     
    When you come to my house, and suppose you look into my fridge, you are not gonna see much, you will maybe 3 days worth of prepped meals, so mineral water, and fruit.  My freezer, not many different frozen fruits and vegetables, that is it.  My cupboards have seasonings, oatmeal, potatoes, and chickpea noodles.  Noting to tempt me from cheating on the limits I’ve set for myself.  
     
    Now my discipline is to know that I’m undisciplined when it comes to having junk food, or food that I can’t contain myself with, like granola, trail mix, etc.  These items are one serving regardless of the size of the bag.  But if I don’t have it around the house, I can’t eat it! But when I go out, holiday, or find that I want one of these tasty treats, I can only buy the small bags because I will eat it all.  2 for $X pricing forget about it, I will get them both and I will eat it all.  So that is my undisciplined me.  
     
    The same goes for accomplishing work.  If you look at my calendar, I got everything scheduled out what I want to get done each day, and where I need to be to get these things to accomplish.  I used to be the king of “I can do it tomorrow”  the biggest production killer is having too much time on your hands. So I make a list of things I need to get done and before I can leave, go to bed or sit on the couch, they have to be done.  If I don’t they won’t get done.  
     
    So when you know your weakness position it to a strength you have.  I hate failing, I hate not finishing something I said I would.  So by making lists and forcing deadlines on myself, it keeps me on track.  As for my eating, I just stay away from what I know I can’t control myself to be around.  Knowing that I can’t be around certain foods where I won’t have actual serving sizes, but bag sizes.   
     
    If something is not around you can’t have it!

    Podcasts seem to be the next big thing in entertainment but of the million-plus podcast out there, it could be a challenge to find something you like or find ones that spark all your interest.  For me, I’m not one dimension so I like to listen to all different kinds of podcasts, and not all of them of informative, some of them are just fun to listen to.  
     
     
    This is supposed to be a podcast about sports.  However, I would describe it more as a few people around some microphones just talking but like to talk sports.  You are not going to find a lot of answers to the dire sports questions you have, but it is like you and your friends are sitting around talking sports and sharing life stories from your yesterdays. This is a great podcast when you don’t want to think, and have a few laughs.   If you listen to the Bobby Bones Show then you know the crew who is doing the podcast, the description of the show is below.

    Again from the Bobby Bones Show, Bobby does some deep drives into behind the scenes look into the music industry.  Not just doing hour-long interviews with musicians.  He talks to the songwriters, managers, record executives, anyone that can provide a look behind the scenes to see how the music industry works.   If you like creative, and music this is a great podcast for you.

    This is a new podcast that I started listening to.  Maybe back in 2018, I wanted something that would keep me informed of the higher level news stories.  And I wanted something the leaned a little more liberal than conservative.  I tend to be more conservative in my beliefs so I wanted something that would give me other perspectives on current events.  The Daily is produced by the New York Times, and is pretty near the center but does lean liberal.  This podcast is usually 20-30 minutes (or 1/2 if you listen on double speed) so it is quick and gives me the details on one sometimes two issues that are currently happening every day.

    This podcast brings on successful people who tell their stories of how they succeeded as well as talk about some of their darker years and struggles.  Usually, when we see someone successful we assume they are overnight successes, we don’t see the failures, or the years of struggling and grinding it took, to get to that overnight success.  I got introduced from this show, from another podcast I listen to, the Steve Weatherford Show.
     
    With his Christian beliefs, Joel Marion created “Born to Impact” to help give you a roadmap on how to succeed in life.  What I like about this podcast there are tangible steps and things you can learn and do, it isn’t an abstract podcast that just talks about ideas.  You can implement stuff from this podcast into your lives.  I enjoy it as it gives me a new way of thinking about things, for entrepreneurs who’ve been on this show I like their takeaways and helps me eliminate mistakes before they could happen.  I don’t care who you are, you can always learn.

    Steve was an NFL player for ten years, and after he retired he had to reinvent himself.  While I began to follow him on the socials before he retired, I began to appreciate his content more so after he retired.  As I am in a bit of reinventing myself, Steve puts it all out there.  What he did right, wrong, and what he did.  When he created an e-book, he did the work he created the content, the videos, the website, etc.  Things that I’ve been learning and doing the exact way he did (not knowing it) but once he shared these things, it reassured me I was doing the right things as well.    Now that is just one example of what Steve has to offer.    It is exciting to see how Steve is changing the arena in the “fitness” industry by including other aspects of our lives into his content.   This podcast is for everyone, but if you are male I highly encourage you to give it a go.  
     
    Another thing I love about this podcast is you can see Steve’s growth.  When he started his podcast the sound quality wasn’t that great, when he launched his first site there were problems.  But that fact that he put himself out there, not having a perfect product and watching his content media get better, is inspirational to me.  I always wanted things to be perfect before I would launch, just how I was, not my goal is getting content out there and fixing it as needed.  Between this podcast and some Grant Cardone audiobooks, it convinces of this.

    Those are the top 5 podcasts I like to listen to each week.  Some are for growth, others to laugh, and some to understand what is happening in the world today.  It is important to be well-rounded, and I think these podcasts help me do that. If you haven’t gotten into the podcast world, I suggest you try it, while you can probably watch everything of youtube or the news, but if you are on the go, I prefer a good podcast then listening to the same country song that is played every 15 minutes on the radio.

    Today, August 17, 2019 Joshua Greene was certified by the International Sport Science Association (ISSA) as a Personal Trainer.   This is another step in Greene’s professional development in the Health & Fitness industry.  Greene is continuing his development with ISSA, by working on  a certification in nutrition.  Greene commented on this achievement, “Operating a dietary supplement company I want to be well verse in as many aspects as possible, to help develop more effective supplements”.
